Climate Action Pittwater is a community climate action group working towards a sustainable future. We engage with the community through activities such as 350.org events, the Sustainable Living Expo, local schools, business groups and local government.
Regular events are held to facilitate community engagement, including films, talks, site visits and discussions.
Climate Action Pittwater invited 500 people to help make a human sign on Mona Vale Beach on 24 October 2009, as part of the international day of climate action initiated by 350.org. The objective of the event was to send a message to the UN climate conference in Copenhagen about the upper limit for atmospheric carbon dioxide to avoid runaway climate change.
